Zeus Labrador Retriever Adult Male for sale in Phoenix, Arizona

Zeus's story
Zeus is a very handsome, 4 year old white Labrador with the softest coat. Although his previous owners named him Zeus, his fosters quickly changed his name to Tank because of what a big boy he is, coming in at 91 pounds, and he seems to love that name just as much! Tank has been living with his fosters for over three months now due to an autoimmune disease that was causing his muscles to degenerate, a small fever, and red eyelids. With a lot of love from the vets at Briarcrest in Tucson, Tank is now expected to have a normal life taking a pill every couple days and within 6 months he might be completed off the prednisone with a vets advice. Tank was turned into DLRR because he was just a lot of dog for his previous owners to handle. He has quite the personality and the highlight of his day is when the humans come home from school and work. He jumps so high you are worried he is going to break a hip and that smile he has makes you glad you are home. If Tank could pick one thing to do the rest of his life, it would be to eat; he loves food and all things associated with it.
Tanks new family will have to continue to work with him on his counter surfing and breaking into the
unopened dog food bags left unattended. Tanks favorite activity is sleeping. Although hes 4, he is a very mellow dog and spends most of his day curled up under his foster moms feet as she works from home. On the weekends, he likes to lay in the garage and watch his foster dad work. At night, he is so sneaky he will get into his fosters bed and they do not notice until the morning when they are sleeping with their feet off the bed. He seems to enjoy having someone at home with him all day as he suffers from severe separation anxiety when left alone. His other favorite thing to do is play with his two foster brothers. Although he doesnt chase after a ball, he likes to chase after his brothers in the backyard. Because of how he is part of the pack at his fosters house, he probably would do best with another, larger dog to play with and his previous owners said the same thing. Tanks fosters are unsure how he will do with a cat, but has been ok around the few small children he has met and loves his 13 year old foster sister. New men sometimes make him nervous, but he eventually warms up to everyone. Tank is potty trained and also knows how to use a doggy door if one is available to him. At his foster home, he is left free to roam the house and is not destructive unless it contains food. With a lot of patience and love, Tank will make an amazing addition to your family.
